Mines & Quarries

Mine and QuarrySand, granite, limestone, slate, marble, and other minerals, are essential materials in the life of modern man.

Whether they’re crushed for aggregates and used in the manufacture of asphalt or concrete products, are sculpted dimensional stone for architectural use, or are finished for decorative / functional uses in residential and commercial applications, all must first be taken from the Earth and processed by people with special knowledge and skills.

Appraising these highly complex entities also requires specialized knowledge and experience. Our president, Ken Jones, has over 25 years of specialized experience in this field, and is 1 of only 5 people certified by the American Society of Appraisers as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in the discipline of Machinery & Technical Specialties: Mines & Quarries. Ken also holds an ASA in Real Property / Urban, and is the only person to simultaneously hold both these professional designations. Ken is also a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (SCGREA).
